About Malaysia Australia Business Council

Since its establishment in 1986, the Malaysia Australia Business Council (MABC) has been the leading voice for Malaysian and Australian businesses, playing a vital role in promoting bilateral trade and investment. Supported by its co-patrons—the Malaysian Minister of International Trade and Industry and the Australian High Commissioner to Malaysia—the MABC offers a wide range of services to its members in both countries. It maintains strong ties with key Malaysian government institutions such as MITI, Matrade, MDEC, and TalentCorp, and works closely with the Australian High Commission and Austrade Malaysia.

Associate of the Australian Chamber of Commerce

The Australia Malaysia Business Council, Asialink Business, and the Malaysia Australia Alumni Council, the MABC provides a robust platform for business facilitation, advocacy, networking events, and idea exchange. Its mission is to foster collaboration and goodwill between the two nations, supporting business matching and long-term relationships. Malaysia and Australia enjoy a long-standing partnership, underpinned by shared history, strong defence cooperation through the Five Powers Defence Arrangements, and economic ties through major trade agreements like MAFTA, ANZFTA, CPTPP, and RCEP. The 2021 launch of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership further elevated their bilateral relationship, enhancing cooperation across multiple sectors.
