Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Mohd Radzi Sheikh Ahmad

CHAIRMAN

Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Mohd Radzi has held various positions in government service throughout his career, including that of Deputy Public Prosecutor and President of the District Sessions Court. A lawyer by profession, Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Mohd Radzi is a partner in Radzi Sheikh Ahmad & Sachpal, a Kuala Lumpur based law firm, and sits on the Board of several public listed companies and charitable foundations such as Trustee of Eco World Foundation. He also founded the Pertubuhan Kebajikan Rumah Anak-Anak Yatim Mak Teh Perlis orphanage which he continues to actively support. Tan Sri Mohd Radzi was also a Senator in the Upper House of the Parliament.

Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Mohd Radzi Sheikh Ahmad’s experience in the legal profession and government contributes highly to the continuous improvement and development of Chemical Mate’s Corporate Governance and enhancing its statutory and legal compliance.

Kenneth Chang

DIRECTOR

Mr. Kenneth Chang spearheads all the non-chemicals business and business diversification of Chemical Mate. He has a background in Accounting and has been in the chemicals business for over 20 years starting with Exxon Chemicals in the early 1990’s. After Exxon, he successfully took on various Regional Business Director positions in Henkel and Cognis Asia Pacific, including sitting on the Board of Directors of several joint ventures in Malaysia and Thailand.

Today, Mr. Chang focuses on new business development and projects in non-chemical related business and foreign new business development for expansion and diversification of the group. This includes business development in food, FMCG business, property development, paper products and medical equipment across several countries.

Jonathan Yip

DIRECTOR

Mr. Yip is the head of the chemicals business in Chemical Mate, bringing with him over 25 years of experience in the chemical industry. He is also a member of American Oil Chemists Society (AOCS) and Society of Cosmetic Chemists (SCC) and regularly contributes in SCC committees. He co-pioneered the Malaysia Jiu-Jitsu Federation and remains active in the development of jiu-jitsu in the community.

Holding a Chemical Engineering degree from McMaster University in Canada, his early professional career was as a Chemical Engineer operating various chemical processes including polymerization, transesterification, distillation, fractionation, engineering plastics compounding and waste-water treatment at BASF Malaysia and Cognis Oleochemicals Malaysia. In between, Mr. Yip worked with chemical engineering software, performing systems integration for clients like Petronas and Shell. After a technical career, he decided to broaden his career development and moved on to commercial and management at Cognis Oleochemicals Malaysia. Here, he started off in business development of oilfield chemicals and later to managing global sales and marketing of oleochemical products worldwide.
