Chemical Mate has partnerships for manufacturing and technology, including partner site in Mexico City. EMM Home & Personal Care (EMMHPC) is a leading solution provider to the personal care, home care and surfactants production industries in Mexico. The site was established in 2014, steadily growing in size and by now having installed 6 reactors and numerous tanks with an annual production capacity of 13,000 MT.
Located in Tultilan, Mexico City, in addition to manufacturing in-house formulations and products they also import ingredients and surfactants to serve the Central American market as well. EMMHPC developed several unique products to solve customers’ problems over the years and remains an innovation hub for Chemical Mate.
Technology Partner
EMMHPC is a technology partner, providing application support, specialty surfactants formulations and production know-how. This technology partnership allows Chemical Mate to develop new formulations and products with customers, primarily in home, personal care and cosmetics applications. In addition, Chemical Mate is in the process of building a specialty surfactant facility here in Malaysia to serve customers outside of Mexico. South-East Asia is a strategic hub for manufacturing, being strategically located close to key raw materials and in the proximity of growing markets.
Surfactant Industry Veteran of Over 35 Years
EMMHPC is helmed by Mr Roland Spörer, a surfactant industry veteran of over 35 years, beginning his career in Dow Chemicals, followed by Henkel AG (later Cognis) where he took on several global and regional positions including Plant Manager of Detergent Manufacturing, Managing Director of Cognis Mexico, Global Key Account Manager and European Regional Director for Skin Care. Mr Spörer was also instrumental in developing many products famously used in the industry and jointly filed several patents with the company.
